The 2021 Washington state legislature created a program for employees of licensed child care facilities to get health insurance coverage for $0 monthly premiums. Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is helping anyone in the state apply for this program and get covered.

Who may qualify?

Employees who:

  • Work in a licensed child care facility. This includes family home, child care center, school-age programs, and outdoor nature-based programs.
  • Meet household income and other program requirements. If your household income is $40,770* for a family of one, up to $83,250* for family of four, you could qualify.
    *Based on 300% of Federal Poverty Levels in 2022. FPL changes annually.
  • Enroll in a Cascade Care Silver health plan through Washington Healthplanfinder.

How to sign up?

Call or email Yakima Neighborhood Health Services to get free help. Yakima Neighborhood Health Services will contact you and help you complete an online application through Washington Healthplanfinder to see if you qualify.
